The Committee for SC/ST Welfare is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment that empowers students and faculty from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Our mission is to bridge gaps, promote social equity, and enhance the overall educational experience of the SC/ST community at PKM College of Education.
We actively work to identify and provide financial assistance, scholarships, and other support mechanisms to students from SC/ST backgrounds, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their pursuit of education.
The committee serves as a voice for SC/ST students advocating for their rights, concerns, and specific needs within the college community. We work closely with the administration to address issues and create an inclusive environment.
Recognizing the importance of mentorship, the committee facilitates mentorship programs and counseling services to help students to face academic challenges, personal growth, and career development.
The committee is dedicated to creating awareness about the challenges faced by SC/ST communities, aiming to eliminate stereotypes and biases. Educational programs and workshops are organized to promote a culture of understanding and respect.
At PKM College of Education, we celebrate diversity and are committed to ensuring that every individual, regardless of their background, feels valued and supported. The Committee for SC/ST Welfare plays a pivotal role in advancing this commitment and contributing to a more inclusive educational community.
