Research & Publication Committee

P.K.M. College of Education considers research as a means to keep abreast of the current knowledge and developments in the field of teacher education. It tries to cultivate an educational research culture and act as a research hub in the field.

Research Guidance

Our faculty members are guiding Ph.D, M.Phil, and M.Ed. scholars of Kannur and other Universities.

Research Projects

Faculty members undertake funded and non funded research programmes at International and National Levels.

Research Publications

Faculty members regularly publish research articles related to Education in International and National reputed journals. They also present papers in various international and national conferences /workshops. They also publish research oriented books in their respective areas. Research papers prepared by student teachers and faculty as part of research projects and seminars and conferences are compiled as reference materials.

Research Consultancy

Faculty members act as research and educational consultants for various educational programmes of the cooperative schools. The college provides organizational assistance for educational programmes.

Research Committee

The college has a Research, Consultancy and Extension Committte headed by the Principal for the promotion of research and related activities.

Research Facilities

The facilities available in the college such as Library resources, INFLIBNET, UGC Net Resource Centre, Psychology Lab etc provide ample opportunities for faculty members and students to undergo research in specific areas.

Research Forums

Interactive forums such as “Triumvirate, Physica Scientia, Blaze Trailors, Tongue Native Phillia and Natura”, functions as forums for enrichment and collaboration in research and innovations.

Classroom Based Research Projects

In order to assure quality in educational endeavours Classroom Based Research Projects are initiated in different dimensions of teaching learning such as innovations, remediations, enrichment and resource material production.

Seminars and Conferences

The college organizes International and National level seminars/conferences and directs all faculty members to participate and present papers in various International, National and state level conferences, seminars, workshops and training programmes related to educational research for their personal and professional development. The college also promotes students to participate and present research papers in the National level conferences with the assistance of faculty members.

Add on Course

The college offers add on certification course in Educational Research for interested students.
